Schenna is situated on the sunny hill just above Meran in South Tyrol, embedded in vineyards and orchards – at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level.
Schenna stretches across an area of 48 km² and reaches the borders of the city of Meran (300 metres) up to both local mountains, the Hirzer (2,781 metres) and the Ifinger (2,581 metres).
Besides the town centre (600 metres), Schenna consists of a further six villages/suburbs, which reach from 716 metres above sea level to 1,536 metres. These are: Verdins, St. Georgen, Schennaberg, Videgg, Unter- and Obertall. Each suburb has its own characteristic beauty.
